The band played two shows, and then broke up. In late 1967, Geezer Butler formed his first band, Rare Breed, and recruited Osbourne to serve its vocalist. Career Black Sabbath Upon the first hit single of The Beatles at age 14, Osbourne became a fan of the band, and he credits The Beatles' 1963 song " She Loves You" for inspiring him to become a musician. He possesses a "hesitant" Brummie accent. Osbourne participated in school plays, including Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado and HMS Pinafore. While young he dabbled in crime and spent six weeks in Winson Green Prison when he was unable to pay a fine after being convicted of burgling a clothes shop to teach his son a lesson, his father refused to pay the fine.
